The fifth stage of the 51st Rallye des Alpes led from St. Moritz in Switzerland to Seefeld in Tirol. This is a fantastic route leading from the Engadin valley via the legendary Gavia and Stelvio mountain passes to the very edge of Lombardy.

The rally started in Geneva and then led from the western to the eastern part of Switzerland, then from the very edge of Italy to Austria. This year's highlight was that the Rallye des Alpes for the first time finished in the Mozart city of Salzburg.
