Sauna in style

Explore the Hotel Klosterbräu’s seven themed saunas.

Are you curious about our seven themed saunas? Learn more here!

Saunas are believed to have originated independently in various parts of the world, from Finland to Korea to the Orkney Islands. Even thousands of years ago, people recognised the healing benefits of heat and steam. Today, saunas enjoy worldwide renown as a powerful way to boost health and promote relaxation.
In Tyrol, a diverse sauna culture has emerged, typified by its wide range of themed saunas. Each sauna offers a distinct experience for body and mind, inspired by Tyrol’s diverse landscapes, local materials, and rich cultural traditions. At the Klosterbräu in Seefeld, you’ll find seven of these unique themed saunas:

Finnish sauna
Enjoy an intense sweat session at temperatures of 70 to 85°C, detoxifying the body and strengthening the immune system.

Outdoor bio sauna
An intense sweat at 70 to 85°C is also possible in our outdoor sauna, where you can step out into the fresh air to revitalise and strengthen the body’s natural defences.

Family dress-on sauna
This is the sauna for guests of all ages. Mild temperatures of around 60°C and a child-friendly dress code ensure everyone feels comfortable here.

Steam sauna
Heated to 40°C and with up to 100% humidity, this tropical environment enhances the skin’s circulation and opens pores, providing a deep, thorough cleanse.

Infrared cabins
Infrared cabins provide a unique form of heat therapy. Rather than warming the air, infrared rays directly penetrate the body, heating it from the inside out.

Bread baking sauna
The aroma of freshly baked bread adds a unique touch to this sauna experience, which offers a pleasantly mild heat and humidity.

“Heißzeit” sauna
Completely hand-carved, our “heart” sauna is one-of-a-kind. The organic shape of the wood creates a warm, unique atmosphere to relax in.

So, which sauna will you try first? Wherever you begin, you’re sure to leave feeling revitalised and relaxed.

Dear Klosterbräu Family,

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to EVERYONE for the countless messages and the incredible outpouring of support. Please know that we are all safe.

At present, we are still in an orientation phase and in close coordination with authorities and partners. As difficult as it is for us to say: based on current information, we unfortunately will not be able to welcome you during the upcoming summer season. Our major goal, however, is to reopen the Klosterbräu at the beginning of December 2026. We are currently contacting all reservations that fall within this period. Thank you for your patience.

We are doing everything in our power—with full commitment, day by day—to make this possible. Over the course of the summer, we will be able to better assess whether this timeline can be met.

To stay closely connected with us, we warmly invite you to follow our latest updates via our WhatsApp channel, Instagram, Facebook, or by subscribing to our newsletter.

There is one thing we can say with full conviction:
Alongside the necessary reconstruction work, we will also bring our heartfelt projects to life—

including the expansion of the wellness area, a new natural swimming pond, new rooms, and the renovation of the existing spa.

Something new is being created—while at the same time preserving what lies at the very heart of the Klosterbräu.

Because we know:
What truly lives within the Klosterbräu cannot be taken by fire—rooted in its history, new beauty will rise from the ashes.

With warm regards

Your hosts
