The most spectacular winter hikes
Experience the magic of winter with serene hikes – far from the crowds.
The ski slopes aren’t the only place to enjoy winter in Seefeld. The region is home to some of the most beautiful winter hiking trails, winding through peaceful, secluded forests and across sunny plateaus. Enjoy the snow-covered landscapes in complete tranquillity.
1. Discover the Möserer valley
The winter hiking trail in the Möserer valley is rightly praised as one of the most beautiful routes around Seefeld. Its picture-perfect landscape captivates visitors, including the cross-country skiers who glide along the Möserer trail. Best of all, you can start and finish your winter hike right from your holiday accommodation. Begin at the Hotel Klosterbräu, heading towards the Seekirchl, and continue through the peaceful forest. From there, walk to the Seefeld Sports Arena and take in the views from the World Cup tower. This easy hike takes about an hour to complete.
2. Hike around the Gschwandtkopf mountain
This picturesque winter hike, which starts and ends at the Hotel Klosterbräu, covers just over ten kilometres and is moderately difficult. The scenic loop hike offers extraordinary views, particularly over the Inntal valley, where the Reither Auland is a highlight. On the way back, you’ll also pass the iconic Seekirchl church – a must-see during your holiday in Seefeld.
3. Explore long-distance winter hiking trails
The two long-distance winter hiking trails near Seefeld are a true winter gems. Even if you’re not up for a multi-day hike, you can still enjoy sections of these trails, each traversing diverse and spectacular landscapes. The star-shaped route centred on Seefeld, which spans the surrounding high plateau, is perfect for shorter hikes. Choose any direction you please for the day’s adventure. And after a day of winter hiking, the Hotel Klosterbräu will be waiting to welcome you back with open arms.

A walk to remember…
... with our alpacas!
Trek through nature alongside an alpaca. Slow down and relax. Join us for an alpaca trekking adventure!
Observe them in peace, pet them, or play with them – interacting with animals can help calm your senses and soothe your soul. Our farm, Sigis Sauhaufen, offers unique experiences that provide entertainment, fun, and excitement for kids and mental relaxation for adults. The animal-related activities we offer include, for instance, alpaca trekking, the perfect opportunity to explore the Seefeld region on foot with friendly animals by your side.
Fun facts about alpacas
Alpacas are part of the camel family and originate in the South American Andes, specifically Peru, where 80% of the global population still resides. Unlike their camel cousins, these “New World camels” lack humps. The Indigenous people of South America first domesticated alpacas about 7,000 years ago, mainly for their wool, while their larger relatives, llamas, have long been utilised as pack animals. Alpacas come in two breeds, Huacaya and Suri, each characterised by the unique texture of their wool.
Travelling with alpacas
Alpacas are naturally good-natured and exude a calming presence. As herd animals, they are very approachable and friendly towards humans. A leisurely walk through the stunning panoramic landscape of Tyrol’s beautiful high plateau allows you to connect with the alpacas personally and gain insights into their behaviour, needs, and characteristics. Spending time with our alpacas offers additional benefits: their presence naturally relaxes and slows you down. As you walk in sync with these animals, you’ll feel a wave of calm wash over you. Much like our petting zoo, alpaca trekking blends fun and wellness to create a truly memorable experience.
Are you looking for YOUNIQUE moments after your trek? Come and visit us at the Hotel Klosterbräu Seefeld for more unforgettable experiences. We look forward to your visit!

Perfectly positioned on the upper floors of our hotel, facing the sunny south and southwest, the view from these rooms is stunning. Imagine unwinding in bed, gazing through expansive panoramic windows at the picturesque parish hill and the lush forest beyond. Want to breathe in some of that fresh mountain air? Each room also features its own balcony. Not only do these rooms offer a cosy sanctuary, but they are also a testament to sustainable living. In furnishing these spaces, we meticulously balanced sustainability with comfort:
- An impressive 95% of the materials used in our nature rooms are sourced directly from the Alpine region. We take pride in our use of moon timber harvested from our own forests. This, combined with the natural hues of varnish-free organic clay, contributes to an authentic yet modern Tyrolean ambience that enhances your well-being.
- The organic clay walls naturally regulate the indoor air quality, creating a healthier breathing environment. We use hemp and sheep wool for optimum noise and heat insulation, while our eco-friendly screed floor structure offers pleasant thermal retention and soundproofing.
- The metal and latex-free mattresses are designed for restful sleep, and the Swiss stone pine arch positioned above the bed exerts a calming influence on both body and mind.
- The Wi-Fi antenna in each room can be deactivated at your convenience to minimise exposure.
- On your balcony, you will appreciate our peat-free organic flower boxes. These are not only aesthetically pleasing but also support bee conservation.

The Hawaiian massage art
Feel.Younique with Lomi Lomi
How exactly does a Lomi Lomi massage work? We’ll explain.
Immerse yourself in relaxation. Disconnect from the outside world. Let us pamper you. In our spacious wellness area, everyday worries become a thing of the past. This is where we tend to your body and nurture your soul. And oh, how good it feels.
Today, we would like to introduce you to one of our many soothing massages: Lomi Lomi. This traditional Hawaiian massage harmonises body, mind, and soul. The word “Lomi” means something like “to press”, “to knead”, or “to rub”. The repetition emphasises the meaning, so you could translate Lomi Lomi as “big strong kneading”. This full-body massage uses generous amounts of oil and smooth, flowing movements to penetrate deep into the tissue and relieve tension. Lomi Lomi helps clear physical and mental blockages while replenishing your energy.
A Lomi Lomi massage serves as a cleansing ritual for both body and mind. In a dimly lit room with soft music, the therapist uses smooth, flowing strokes and movements across your entire body. They may also use their forearms and elbows to reach deeper tissue layers, stretching and elongating joints and muscles, relieving tension, and enhancing your body’s energy flow.
After a Lomi Lomi massage, you will feel fresh, revitalised, and full of energy. The massage benefits both body and mind, reducing stress and activating self-healing abilities. Spiritually, the back massage opens your path to the future, while the abdominal massage processes and harmonises emotions and memories.
In addition to Lomi Lomi, we also offer numerous other massages at the Hotel Klosterbräu in Seefeld, such as Ayurvedic and Thai massages. Our treatments promote holistic healing, helping you restore balance in your life. Take a look at our brochure to learn more about our well-being philosophy and the wide range of treatments available.
Working out – the right way
Our tips for effective training
Welcome to our ACTIVE fitness room! We are delighted to give you a brief introduction.
Stepping into a gym for the first time can feel a bit overwhelming. It might seem like everyone else has their routine down pat, making it feel like you’ve stepped into unfamiliar territory. But rest assured, we’re a very welcoming bunch! You have nothing to worry about. To ease your integration, we’ve compiled a list of useful dos and don’ts to get you started on the right foot. Ready, set, go!
First, a major “do”: get to know the equipment. Familiarise yourself with how each piece of equipment works, either by reading the provided instructions or by asking our fitness coach, Thomas, for a quick rundown. This way, you’ll use the machines correctly, maximising effectiveness while ensuring safety.
This leads us to a key “don’t”: don’t overtrain. Operating under the belief that “more is better” can be counterproductive. Particularly when starting out, it’s unwise to max out the machines or go straight for the heaviest weights. The goal is to maintain your routine over time. Even if the weights were easy to manage for the person who last used the machine, there’s no shame in reducing the weight.
Here’s another important “do”: stay hydrated! Water is essential during your workout, so always have a water bottle within reach and sip frequently in small amounts to stay hydrated. When you’re catching your breath after a tough set, take a moment to drink and relish the refreshing feeling. Remember, optimal performance is only possible when your body is properly hydrated! So, drink up!
Finally, an important “don’t”: don’t forget to use your towel! Always use it to cover machine pads to avoid leaving behind sweat stains, ensuring a clean and pleasant environment for everyone.
If you have any questions or uncertainties, please don’t hesitate to ask our friendly staff at any time. We are happy to help!
Cycling bliss in Seefeld
The most beautiful e-bike tours
When it comes to beautiful e-bike tours, the Seefeld region is simply unbeatable.
An e-bike is an absolute game-changer for anyone who enjoys exploring the great outdoors but doesn’t want to work up too much of a sweat. On an e-bike, you can easily cover longer distances and admire more of the marvellous landscape.
Some of the most beautiful bike trails lead through the Karwendel mountains, such as the route from Scharnitz to Jenbach. This leisurely two-day tour travels along well-maintained paths. The first leg covers nearly 40 kilometres, passing the Karwendelhaus mountain hut and leading through the Rißtal valley to the Großer Ahornboden. For the second leg, ambitious bikers might tackle the challenging and action-packed trail over the Plumsjoch pass, while those seeking a gentler ride might head towards Lake Sylvensteinsee and on to Lake Achensee. At this point, you can take a relaxed boat ride to Maurach, where you will rejoin the sporty bikers who chose the first option. The final stretch to Jenbach is completed together.
The journey from the source of the Isar river in Scharnitz to the Kastenalm is a short excursion suitable for family members of all ages that takes approximately one and a half hours to complete. This cycle route follows the river as it winds through the Hinterautal valley. The numerous shaded areas along the way are ideal spots to take a break – we recommend cooling off by dipping your feet in the chilled waters of the Isar.
For cyclists seeking a greater challenge, we recommend the route to the Rotmoosalm. This challenging trail ascends more than 800 metres over just eleven kilometres. Some sections are particularly steep and winding. The reward is a magnificent panorama of the Gaistal valley and the Hohe Munde mountain.
Our fourth recommended tour takes you from Seefeld/Mösern to Wildmoos and back, cycling over the Katzenkopf and through the Fludertal valley. This is a particularly beautiful route for hot summer days, as it passes several small lakes. While not very strenuous, it’s advisable to allocate around four hours for this excursion.
We hope that you enjoy these e-bike tours in Seefeld as much as we do. We look forward to welcoming you to the Hotel Klosterbräu soon!
This workout technique is a hit.
High-intensity interval training
Achieve impressive results in no time with HIIT!
Have you checked out our ACTIVE fitness room yet? It’s an absolute paradise for those passionate about fitness, which blends the latest in exercise technology with a lifestyle-oriented approach. Here, you will find state-of-the-art workout equipment, a spacious area for functional training, a hydration station, and a Bluetooth system to play your music, among other exciting highlights.
Our dedicated fitness and health coach, Thomas, is here to ensure your workouts are not only effective but also enjoyable, combining his profound expertise with a touch of good humour. He especially recommends trying a HIIT training session if you’re looking to see impressive results in no time.
“HIIT” stands for high-intensity interval training and is a training method characterised by its short yet powerful bursts of physical activity. This approach to working out vigorously challenges your muscles and cardiovascular system, enabling you to enhance endurance and accelerate fat loss in a short period of time.
One of the key benefits of HIIT is the so-called “afterburn effect”, where your body continues to consume more energy for recovery long after the workout session has ended, promoting additional calorie burn and weight loss. Furthermore, HIIT’s range of exercises also improves your coordination and flexibility.
Overall, HIIT is an extremely effective workout method that delivers amazing results in a very short time. It improves muscular strength, stamina, coordination, and weight loss. The best part? A typical HIIT workout only takes around 20 to 30 minutes. Following your workout, a well-deserved period of relaxation awaits – ideally in a sauna or whirlpool.
So, what are you waiting for? Consider trying out HIIT! We’re excited to welcome you to Hotel Klosterbräu soon for a vibrant and active stay.
Incorporating sustainability into daily life
How we combine environmental responsibility and joie de vivre
Our sustainability journey has rewarded us with a wealth of insights. We are eager to share what we’ve learned with you.
What does sustainability mean to us? We believe it’s about living in sync with nature rather than restricting ourselves. We love being in harmony with nature – finding joy in its splendour, growing vegetables in our garden, managing our woodland, and harnessing the therapeutic qualities of Alpine herbs.
To live more sustainably, we need to actively incorporate sustainability into our daily lives. How do we achieve this? On our sustainability journey, we’ve learned many valuable lessons, and we are pleased to share a few with you here.
Tip 1: Embrace regional food – it’s more than just a trend
Why? Because not only does it taste delicious, but it also reduces your environmental impact. Wondering how you can do this at home? Try visiting your local farmers’ market or requesting local products at your grocery store. Supporting local agriculture goes hand in hand with sustainable living.
Tip 2: Enjoy nature respectfully
Nature is our adventure playground, and we want to keep it that way for our children. Lace up your hiking boots, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and leave nothing but footprints behind. This is not only environmentally friendly but also an act of courtesy towards our beautiful mountain world.
Tip 3: Sustainable shopping and mindful consumption
When browsing through the shops, remember the 4-R rule: reduce, reuse, repair, recycle. Only buy what you really need, choose durable products, and repair things instead of throwing them away immediately. When was the last time you picked up a needle and thread to give an item of clothing a new lease of life?
Tip 4: Wellness in nature
Did you know that nature is the best source of wellness? A walk in the forest or a refreshing dip in a natural body of water works wonders – all without the need for artificial enhancements.
With these ideas in mind, let’s work together to make the world a bit greener!
How to become a piste pro

Stress natalizio?
