Younique: the smartest way to spring-clean from the inside out

Forget celery juice and strict rules. The best way to ease into spring is to head to the Seefeld Plateau, where sauna rituals, Pilates, and plenty of feel-good indulgence awaits.

Detox isn’t a trend – it’s a concept with a long history. The ancient Greek physician Hippocrates already relied on sweating and fasting. In Ayurveda, inner cleansing has been a cornerstone of treatment for millennia. And the Christian fasting season before Easter is rooted in the same intention: to lighten the body and make space for the mind. Sebastian Kneipp turned this notion of renewal into a philosophy in the 19th century, and Europe’s monasteries were fasting and meditating long before “detox” became a buzzword.

What the Klosterbräu in Seefeld does with “detox” has very little to do with fad diets – and everything to do with time-tested wisdom. Across 3,500 square metres, the Spiritual SPA brings centuries-old rituals into the present. The Kneipp facility in the historic monastery corridor revives the body in exactly the spirit Sebastian Kneipp once championed. And the “Herzerl” sauna – hand-carved and truly one of a kind – turns aromatic infusions of Swiss stone pine and mountain herbs into a ritual that gently blurs the line between wellness and meditation.

Movement, too, is approached with the same wisdom. Host Agnes Seyrling’s Reformer Pilates is a signature in itself: strength, control, and mindful focus, all in one. Laura Seyrling-Riess leads yoga sessions that feel especially grounding on the Seefeld Plateau – where 1,200 metres of mountain air naturally deepens every breath. Then there’s the simplest reset of all: a walk across the high plateau, more effective than any cardio session, and far more enjoyable.

In the kitchen, the detox idea continues – effortlessly. Seasonal, regional ingredients, many from the hotel’s own farm, become light, delicious dishes that make calorie counting feel completely beside the point. Add personalised Feel.YOUNIQUE® treatments and singing bowl journeys, and your stay takes on that rare, unmistakably personal quality – the kind that lingers long after you’ve gone home.

And so the circle closes: what began within these walls as monastic discipline is now an open invitation to all the senses – to let go, to recharge, and rediscover yourself.

Dear Klosterbräu Family,

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to EVERYONE for the countless messages and the incredible outpouring of support. Please know that we are all safe.

At present, we are still in an orientation phase and in close coordination with authorities and partners. As difficult as it is for us to say: based on current information, we unfortunately will not be able to welcome you during the upcoming summer season. Our major goal, however, is to reopen the Klosterbräu at the beginning of December 2026. We are currently contacting all reservations that fall within this period. Thank you for your patience.

We are doing everything in our power—with full commitment, day by day—to make this possible. Over the course of the summer, we will be able to better assess whether this timeline can be met.

To stay closely connected with us, we warmly invite you to follow our latest updates via our WhatsApp channel, Instagram, Facebook, or by subscribing to our newsletter.

There is one thing we can say with full conviction:
Alongside the necessary reconstruction work, we will also bring our heartfelt projects to life—

including the expansion of the wellness area, a new natural swimming pond, new rooms, and the renovation of the existing spa.

Something new is being created—while at the same time preserving what lies at the very heart of the Klosterbräu.

Because we know:
What truly lives within the Klosterbräu cannot be taken by fire—rooted in its history, new beauty will rise from the ashes.

With warm regards

Your hosts
