Spring awakening in Seefeld

The magic of sunshine and flowers

Do flower-filled meadows bring you joy? Then read these hiking tips!

Is spring your thing? Luckily for you, in just a few weeks, the last patches of snow on the high plateau will melt away under the warm rays of the sun, and the first signs of spring will emerge. Coltsfoot, gentian, Alpine bells, and, of course, countless crocuses will stretch their colourful heads towards the sky! Whether yellow, white, or purple, the delicate flowers sprout from the ground everywhere, making for a great photo-op.
Why not take a springtime stroll to immerse yourself in this natural beauty? Hike across meadows and through forests and let the charm of the outdoors work its magic on your mind and body. Admire budding plants, breathe in the fresh air, and watch the birds and squirrels frolic in the sunlight.

Speaking of sunshine, here are a few excursion tips where you can soak up some vitamin D:

The Gschwandtkopf loop: This easy circular hike takes about three to four hours to complete. Along the way, you’ll pass through beautiful flower-filled meadows and enjoy fantastic views of Inntal.

Reith panoramic loop hike: Reith boasts a particularly sunny location, making it one of the first places to welcome spring. This scenic loop takes you along the Kaiserstand and the Rosenkranzweg, leading to the charming Frau Häusl Chapel before returning to Reith.

Hike around Lake Wildsee: Lake Wildsee is a worthwhile destination year-round. For the adventurous, a dip in the still-icy waters is an invigorating challenge – after which you can warm up and relax in the sun!

Experience nature with all your senses during your spring holiday at the Hotel Klosterbräu Seefeld. We’re delighted to share our hiking recommendations and personal insider tips with you – after all, we know every path and stone on the high plateau. It’s our pleasure and passion to share our love for this landscape.

Dear Klosterbräu Family,

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to EVERYONE for the countless messages and the incredible outpouring of support. Please know that we are all safe.

At present, we are still in an orientation phase and in close coordination with authorities and partners. As difficult as it is for us to say: based on current information, we unfortunately will not be able to welcome you during the upcoming summer season. Our major goal, however, is to reopen the Klosterbräu at the beginning of December 2026. We are currently contacting all reservations that fall within this period. Thank you for your patience.

We are doing everything in our power—with full commitment, day by day—to make this possible. Over the course of the summer, we will be able to better assess whether this timeline can be met.

To stay closely connected with us, we warmly invite you to follow our latest updates via our WhatsApp channel, Instagram, Facebook, or by subscribing to our newsletter.

There is one thing we can say with full conviction:
Alongside the necessary reconstruction work, we will also bring our heartfelt projects to life—

including the expansion of the wellness area, a new natural swimming pond, new rooms, and the renovation of the existing spa.

Something new is being created—while at the same time preserving what lies at the very heart of the Klosterbräu.

Because we know:
What truly lives within the Klosterbräu cannot be taken by fire—rooted in its history, new beauty will rise from the ashes.

With warm regards

Your hosts
