The power of Alpine herbs

Natural and effective
Let nature work its magic – for a wellness holiday unlike any other.

In early summer, the air around Hotel & Spa Klosterbräu in Seefeld is filled with the fresh scents of wild mint, yarrow, and sunny yellow marigolds. These Alpine herbs – used for centuries to ease ailments, boost the immune system, and nourish the skin – flourish in the surrounding Alpine meadows.

Would you like to learn about the secrets of Alpine herbs and their healing powers? Join our herb experts, Andrea and Nadine (our “herb fairies”), on a wild herb and nature discovery walk through Seefeld’s blooming Alpine meadows. As you hike toward the “Herb Snake” on the Pfarrhügel, they’ll share fascinating insights into medicinal plants – from how to grow and care for them to their many uses and benefits. Curious? Here’s a sneak peek at a few of their favourite herbs:

  • Arnica: Known for its pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties, an arnica ointment is perfect for treating bruises, sunburn, and insect bites.
  • Yarrow: A classic digestive aid. Enjoyed as a tea, it supports liver function and soothes the stomach.
  • Marigold: This fragrant flower is calming and gentle on sensitive skin.
  • Lemon balm: Whether as fresh leaves or an essential oil, lemon balm is relaxing and supports overall well-being.
  • Quendel (wild thyme): This natural expectorant is used to treat coughs and colds.

We harness the healing power of herbs throughout our wellness area. Try a hay bath, for example, to naturally stimulate circulation and strengthen the immune system. Or indulge in a rejuvenating facial using premium natural cosmetics from Team Dr Joseph. Afterwards, unwind in one of our saunas, where revitalising herbal infusions fill the air – pure bliss.

A stay at the Hotel Klosterbräu is a stay in perfect harmony with nature. We are grateful for the gifts of our Alpine meadows – and we’re always delighted to share their wisdom with you. So, when will you come and experience it for yourself?
