The Seefeld holiday region
Nature and culture
Find some time for a regenerating walk between all your activities, delicious dishes, and wellness experiences.
On the only high plateau in all Tyrol, many surprising monuments await you. After a rich and healthy breakfast, there’s nothing better than a nice digestive walk. Perhaps you could take a stroll the near Wildsee lake or maybe enjoy our enchanting forests. There’s one thing you absolutely mustn’t miss: Seekirchl Chapel. It was built in the 15th century at the behest of Duke Sigismund in the middle of an artificial lake that has now been drained. This baroque jewel stands out for its amazing architecture, including an octagonal layout and a column-free dome. Inside of the church you can admire the old crucifix, which dates back to 1628. You’ll also receive an information brochure with the history and some artistic details of the chapel, including spectacular baroque frescoes.
