Forest bathing

Find peace in nature

Have you ever heard of forest bathing? It’s a wonderful way to switch off and decompress.

Here at Hotel Klosterbräu, you can dive into wellness in Seefeld in our large, varied spa area featuring eight themed saunas and five different water areas. But that’s not the only place that you can find well-being. The Seefeld area also has beautiful woodlands which are perfect for trying a very special activity: forest bathing. This relaxing practice originates from Japan, where it’s known as “shinrin yoku”. It’s very easy to do: Simply head into the forest and breathe deeply, inhale the fresh scent of the trees, and listen to the crunch of twigs under your feet, the merry chirping of the birds, and perhaps the rhythmic tapping of a woodpecker. Our tip: Turn off your smartphone to avoid distractions and help you focus fully on here and now. Move slowly and immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere. If you’d prefer to get to know the forests with a guide first, why not join one of our group forest walks with Thomas? He’ll introduce you to the magic of these green, natural paradises.
