Sustainable management and construction at our hotel

For nature, for people, for future generations

Sustainability starts with daily choices – not just on the plate, but in every detail of how we live and work.

For us, sustainable construction and management aren’t just passing trends – they’re part of our philosophy and daily practice. At our 5-star hotel in Seefeld, we are fully aware of our responsibilities: to nature, our guests, and future generations.

That’s why we think holistically and believe in concrete action. As a partner of “Klimabündnis Tirol”, we are committed to resource-conscious living and business operations. What does that mean in practice? All our activities undergo a rigorous climate check, and the results show that we’ve already implemented many impactful measures over the years, not least thanks to our agricultural practices.

But we’re not stopping there. We’re determined to take even greater steps toward sustainability and environmental stewardship.

  • We want to introduce electric hotel shuttles to promote climate-friendly guest mobility.
  • Our buildings will be further insulated to minimise energy loss even more effectively.
  • In the future, we plan to generate all our electricity and hot water from photovoltaics and solar thermal energy.
  • Our goal is to switch to 100% certified green electricity.
  • We intend to collect rainwater for use in irrigation.
  • In choosing textiles and building materials, we will increasingly prioritise sustainable quality.
  • In the future, organic and Fairtrade products will make up the majority of our purchases.
  • We would like to further reduce the amount of meat on our menu.

We’re also proud members of the Plateau Pioneers, a regional initiative for sustainable tourism in Seefeld. Together, through ambitious measures and their consistent implementation, we aim to lower our carbon footprint from 20kg to just 12kg of CO₂ per overnight stay.

Our mission is simple: less talk, more action – backed by independent evaluations. Because for us, sustainability isn’t a slogan. It’s a promise to the environment. To our community. And to you – our valued guests.

Dear Klosterbräu Family,

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to EVERYONE for the countless messages and the incredible outpouring of support. Please know that we are all safe.

At present, we are still in an orientation phase and in close coordination with authorities and partners. As difficult as it is for us to say: based on current information, we unfortunately will not be able to welcome you during the upcoming summer season. Our major goal, however, is to reopen the Klosterbräu at the beginning of December 2026. We are currently contacting all reservations that fall within this period. Thank you for your patience.

We are doing everything in our power—with full commitment, day by day—to make this possible. Over the course of the summer, we will be able to better assess whether this timeline can be met.

To stay closely connected with us, we warmly invite you to follow our latest updates via our WhatsApp channel, Instagram, Facebook, or by subscribing to our newsletter.

There is one thing we can say with full conviction:
Alongside the necessary reconstruction work, we will also bring our heartfelt projects to life—

including the expansion of the wellness area, a new natural swimming pond, new rooms, and the renovation of the existing spa.

Something new is being created—while at the same time preserving what lies at the very heart of the Klosterbräu.

Because we know:
What truly lives within the Klosterbräu cannot be taken by fire—rooted in its history, new beauty will rise from the ashes.

With warm regards

Your hosts
