Meet our new darlings: Mr Wyss and Miss Irene.
Prepare for a cuteness overload at our “Sigis Sauhafen” petting zoo with dwarf goats, mini pigs, and even dwarf donkeys. Each of these enchanting miniature animals holds a special place in our hearts, adding their unique character to our “patchwork family”.
Initially, we thought our family was complete! However, fate had other plans. We looked into the big, sincere eyes of two Miniature Highland cows – and couldn’t help but take them home. At just 95cm, the two have already reached their full size. In comparison, their Scottish Highland counterparts have a hip height of over 120cm and weigh up to 800kg.
Mr Wyss and Miss Irene, as we have christened the Mini Highlands, have already settled in well. You will find our shaggy friends very close to the hotel: just cross the “Garten Eden” and follow the signs to “Sigis Sauhaufen”.
Our petting zoo is an absolute highlight for kids and guarantees an unforgettable time in Austria. Holidays here are simply the best!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to EVERYONE for the countless messages and the incredible outpouring of support. Please know that we are all safe.
At present, we are still in an orientation phase and in close coordination with authorities and partners. As difficult as it is for us to say: based on current information, we unfortunately will not be able to welcome you during the upcoming summer season. Our major goal, however, is to reopen the Klosterbräu at the beginning of December 2026. We are currently contacting all reservations that fall within this period. Thank you for your patience.
We are doing everything in our power—with full commitment, day by day—to make this possible. Over the course of the summer, we will be able to better assess whether this timeline can be met.

Alongside the necessary reconstruction work, we will also bring our heartfelt projects to life—
including the expansion of the wellness area, a new natural swimming pond, new rooms, and the renovation of the existing spa.
Something new is being created—while at the same time preserving what lies at the very heart of the Klosterbräu.
Because we know:
What truly lives within the Klosterbräu cannot be taken by fire—rooted in its history, new beauty will rise from the ashes.
